Terrorism: the most meaningless and manipulated word

Glenn Greenwald, commenting on media response to a plane being crashed into an IRS building, rightly calls Terrorism: the most meaningless and manipulated word. This is not a new point, nor was it new in the post-9/11 world, but the intial response to the incident does provide ample evidence of the malleability of the category.
